INDIAN SPEC YAMAHA R15 V3 ( WHAT ALL IS MISSING FROM GLOBAL SPEC VERSION )

Yamaha unveiled the V.3.0 of R15 in January 2017 and since then Yamaha fans in India have been desperately waiting for its launch here.


This model was launched in Thailand, followed by Indonesia and even Bangladesh, but still no word of its launch from Yamaha India.


And then suddenly this picture got VIRAL. It was all over the internet. All the Yamaha fans got crazy over it. Then a couple of days later we got some clear images of the Indian Spec Yamaha R15 V3.0.
It is a bit different from what we were accepting.

Sources say that this test mule was spotted in Delhi. sources also said that :-

1. It looks bigger than the current generation.

2. Twin headlamp design features DRL's

3. It missed out on USD forsks, which were replaced by conventional telescopic unit.


4. Running on the MRF Zappers.

5. Missing on ABS ( no abs rings )

6. New tyre hugger similar to FZ 250.


7. New exhaust.

8. BYBRE Brake Calipers

9. It may also miss out in Slipper Clutch.


Design wise it gets its styling cues from its elder sibling,the current generation R1. Based on the same delta box frame, the international variant comes with LED Headlamps, ABS, Slipper clutch and fully digital instrument cluster.
Powering it with all new 155cc engine wit VVA ( Variable Valve Actuation ). Single cylinder liquid cooled engine producing 19.3 PS at 10000 RPM and 14.7 NM torque at 8500 RPM. Paired by a six speed transmission.
