Day - 2 | Last Minuit Trip | Dhule - Omkareshwar - Indore - Ujjain |
Day 2 started around 5:30 am. We all got up early that day. We decided not to waste time and leave as soon as possible. By the time we left it was 8:30 am. I checked radiator fluid, engine oil, and wiper liquid, then we went to fuel station, petrol costed around Rs.2600 for a full tank. After that we decided to stop for breakfast after 10:00 am. Unfortunately there were not much restaurants on the way. There are a lot of Dhabas on the way for the Truckers, but we dint wanted to halt there. We then crossed Maharashtra Border and entered Madhya Pradesh. After traveling for around 180 Km we found a small place, where we had coffee.
After a few Km we had to exit this beautiful road and get on to a state highway. There are no signboards stating direction for Omkareshwar, it was our Google aunty who showed us the way. The state highway is not in a good shape, and even quite narrow. Somehow we reached Omkareshwar.
As soon as you enter people start to gather around you and start giving you offers and discounts and guides, for the darshan. This things happen almost at every tourist place. As we were new we decided to take a a guidance from a local store keeper. who gave us proper guidance and a person who arranged it all.
The temple is on the other side of river. That place is like a island, there are walking bridges connecting to that side but we decided to take the boat. The Boat wala guy said he would charges Rs.1000 for 3 places to show, drop us on other side and bring us back. I bargained and finalized it for Rs.600. You even have a public boat service who drops you on the other side for Rs.10. And private boat cost for just dropping on other side was Rs.100/- We even had a Pandit Jii with us inthe boat who guided us further. He took us straight to VIP Darshan spot where we had to pay Rs.300 Per person. Being vacations there was lot of rush. We had to even wait into the VIP line for around 30 min. We had our darshan and then went to do a small pooja. Our pooja went for around 20 min, and then we returned back to our boat, to head back.

Road from Indore to Ujjain is very good. We reached Ujjain around 8:00 pm. Being Sunday there was a lot of rush. Cops had closed the road at many places to control traffic. I parked the car and my father went to search to hotel. Almost after a hour received a call from him saying that the place is very crowded and most of the hotels are full but i found a nice room for us in Shri Mahakal Bhakt Niwas.
Now i had to take my car to the bhakt niwas parking, while going i found that that streets were closed by the cops. They dint let us in. one of the cop told me that if i pay him Rs,100 he would let me in. which i dint wanted to. Then i asked a local guy to guide me through. there were small lanes through which i reached the Bhakt Niwas. By the time I enter the room it was 9:30 pm. We ha dour dinner later and decided to visit the temple early morning next day.
