Instantly Increase your Fuel Efficiency

As fuel prices are going up, increasing the milage is the best way to protect your pocket. Here are a few ways which will help you save your fuel expense and increase the efficiency of your car.

1. Take it easy while Accelerating

We all have the tendency to unleash the speed demon in our inner being, living our wildest fantasies of becoming an F1 racer. But it is not the best way to save some fuel. Your car may go 0-60 under 5 sec but it burns a lot of fuel. The faster you go, the greater the drag your car had to go through. Unfortunately, this requires a lot of fuel to be consumed. So go easy while accelerating.
The same is true while coming to a stop. Don't try to be an F1 racer and try beaking just in time to try making the critical apex, allow it to turn in without any significant loss in momentum.

2. Remove excess weight.

In an effort to economize, most of us turn out vehicle into the delivery truck, packing and squeezing as much as stuff possible. Unfortunately doing so increases the weight of your car which puts more strain on your engine and makes it work harder, and as we know engine working excess hard to run the vehicle ultimately results in increased fuel burn.

3. Inflate tyres to correct pressure.

One of the easiest way to improve gas milage is by keeping tyre pressure correct. tyres maintain good contact with the ground but if the tyres are at low pressure, it results in the increase of rolling resistance to ground surface. Since major factor that can affect fuel consumption is rolling resistance, check the thread pattern also.

4. Use AC Sencibally

It is true that using AC lowers the fuel economy, however, it totally depends on how you use it. Studies suggest that AC usage in city traffic won't affect much. But if you are moving at 60 kmph and pull the window down, then a lot of drag is created resulting in reducing of efficiency, so at that time it's suggested to roll the window up and turn on the AC and vice versa.

5. Fuel cap.

Fuel cap contains a rubber seal which creates a kind of airtight protection against entering of air. Unfortunately, these rubber seals degrade over time, leading more air into fuel. Due to an increase in air engine will burn more gas and reduce efficiency
