Day -1 First Road Trip with The Tata Tiago ( Sarva Mangala Devi, Gujarat )

We had decided to go to Sarva Mangala Devi Temple (Gujarat) a long time back, but it didn't seem to be in the light of the day till we bought theTata Tiago. Tata Tiago being a small car was brought for city ride only. But it being a new car I decided to take it. We were only three people who were going to travel, so there was enough room in the car.

Day 1 (Lonavala - Baroda(Vadodara) Gujrat ) 500km
Tiago being a new car not much of inspection was needed. I did the routine checkup, filled fuel and air, and was ready to go.
We left my place (Lonavala) at 6:00am. Going to Gujarat is always fun. The roads are fabulous and easy going. We had to cover 500Km that day. But this time I was a bit worried. Taking the small car for a long trip was the cause of worry. Will my family be comfortable through the journey.

Surprisingly we were very comfortable throughout the trip. We took our first halt for breakfast at 9:30am around 150 km from my place. It being the last week of December there was much traffic than usual. Zipping through traffic was fun with the Tiago. Harman music system in the car made the mood a level above. The car was performing very well with an indicated fuel efficiency of 22kmpl. I kept it in CITY mode throughout the day, with AC working continuously. 70-90kmpl was my driving speed. I tried to maintain instant fuel efficiency to the maximum for better fuel efficiency. The car was so comfortable that we did not felt any need to stop.

The next stop we took as at 400km mark that was 250 km after the first stop. Due to the construction of the flyover, there was a lot of traffic jam in some places. But the AC worked efficiently to keep us cool. Our indicated fuel efficiency was dropped to 19kmpl.

But after that, there was no problem at all. We reached our destination at 4:00pm. Indicated fuel efficiency of the car showed 21Kmpl. We were very happy with these figures. Our SX4 gives an average of 10-12kmpl so 20kmpl was like a magical figure for us. My cousins stay in Vadodara, we went to their place. Had lots of fun that night. A family reunion like this helps in improving mental strength. Meeting my cousins always fills me up with good energy. We earlier had planned to go at Statue of Unity also but came to know that there were some problems, so cancelled that plan. Now we had decided to go to Sarva Mangala Devi temple next day. My cousins also decided to join us the next day. We did all the planning that day. They were going to take their Suzuki Ciaz.
