Day - 4 | Trambakeshwar - Bhimashankar -Lonavala |

Day 4 Started around 7:30 am for me. My father had already gone to the temple at 6:00am. I was not felling well. Everything was going very slow for me that day. My mom and sis were waiting for me to get ready so that we could go to the temple together. I was ready by 8:30 and we entered temple premises by 9:00am. There was not much rush. We had a pleasant darshan of the all-mighty. Sat in premises for about 30 min, and then went to to snan kund behind the temple.

About Trambakeshwar
Trimbakeshwar or Tryambakeshwar is an ancient Hindu temple in the town of Trimbak, in the Trimbakeshwar tehsil in the Nashik District of MaharashtraIndia, 28 km from the city of Nashik and 40 km from nashik road. It is dedicated to the god Shiv and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, where the Hindu genealogy registers at Trimbakeshwar, Maharashtra are kept. The origin of the sacred Godavari river is near Trimbak.
Kusavarta, a kunda (sacred pond) in the temple premises is the source of the Godavari River, the longest river in peninsular India. The current temple was built by Peshwa Balaji Baji Rao (Nanasaheb).
The temple is located between three hills namely Brahmagiri, Nilagiri and Kalagiri. The temple has three lingams (an iconic form of Shiv) representing ShivVishnu and Brahma. The temple tank is called Amritavarshini, which measured 28 m (92 ft) bu 30 m (98 ft). There are three other bodies of water, namely, Bilvatheertha, Viswananthirtha and Mukundathirtha. There are images of various deities, namely, Gangadevi, Jaleswara, Rameswara, Gautameswara, Kedarnatha, Rama, Krishna, Parasurama and Lakshmi Narayana. The temple has also several monasteries and samadhis of saints

Trimbakeshwar is a religious center having one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. The extraordinary feature of the Jyotirlinga located here is its three faces embodying Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Rudra. Due to excessive use of water, the linga has started to erode. It is said that this erosion symbolizes the eroding nature of human society. The Lingas are covered by a jeweled crown which is placed over the Gold Mask of Tridev (Brahma Vishnu Mahesh). The crown is said to be from the age of Pandavs and consists of diamonds, emeralds, and many precious stones. The crown is displayed every Monday from 4-5 pm (Shiv).

Then we went back to our Hotel. We checked out around 11:30. On the way to Nashik there is nice hotel called Sanskruti. We usually stop there. It a very nice place. The food there is very nice and the way in which the property is developed its a must visit..
We had our breakfast there and then left for our journey. We were expected to come straight home. but there was a last minute change in the plan and so we decided to go to Bhimashankar. In this way we were going to do a total of 4 jyotirling. We had been there earlier but decided to visit that again.

Road that we were going was Nashik - Pune highway. Road upto Manchar war very good. but after that there is a very bad road. We had to exit our highway at Manchar and take a turn for Bhimashankar. We somehow managed to do the road. We were about 4 Km from the temple and then a very heavy Traffic jam. i had to park my car around 4 km away from the temple and then walk the distance. The place was very crowded. I was not able to make up to the darshan line. There are even no VIP pass available there so we had to stank in the Q. My parents had already gone there and were waiting in the Q. At a good point i found a place to jump in the Q. We had our darshan. The Darshan of the ling vanished all the pain we had faced that day.

About Bhimashankar
Bhīmāshankar Temple is a Jyotirlinga shrine located 50 km northwest of Khed (alias Rajguru Nagar), near Pune, in India. It is located 127 km from Shivaji Nagar (in Pune) in the Ghat region of the Sahyadri hills. Bhīmāshankar is also the source of the river Bhima, which flows southeast and merges with the Krishna river near Raichur. The other Jyotirlinga shrines in Maharashtra are Trimbakeshwara near NashikGrishneshwar near Aurangabad ,[Vaijnath][Parli] near Beed,Maharashtra and [Aundha Nagnath]in Hingoli district of Maharashtra.
The Bhīmāshankar temple is a composite of old and new structures in the Nagara style of architecture. It shows the excellency of the skills achieved by ancient Vishwakarma sculptors. It is a modest yet graceful temple and it dates back to the 13th century while the sabhamandap was built in the 18th century by Nānā Phadnavis. The shikhara was built by Nana Phadnavis. The great Maratha ruler Shivaji is said to have made endowments to this temple to facilitate worship services. As with other Shiva temples in this area, the sanctum is at a lower level.
As per the Shiv Mahapuran, once Brahma (the Hindu God for creation) and Vishnu (the Hindu God for protection) had an argument about creation.[1] To test them, Shiva pierced the three worlds as a huge endless pillar of light, the jyotirlinga. Vishnu and Brahma split their ways to search downwards and upwards respectively to find the end of the light in either direction. Brahma lied that He found out where it ends, while Vishnu conceded defeat. Shiva appeared as a second pillar of light and cursed Brahma that He would have no place in ceremonies while Vishnu would be worshipped till the end of eternity. The jyotirlinga is the supreme partless reality, out of which Shiva partly appears. The jyothirlinga shrines, thus are places where Shiva appeared as a fiery column of light.[2][3] There are 64 forms of Shiva, not to be confused with Jyotirlingas. Each of the twelve jyothirlinga sites take the name of the presiding deity - each considered different manifestation of Shiva.[4] At all these sites, the primary image is lingam representing the beginningless and endless Stambha pillar, symbolizing the infinite nature of Shiva.

We were very happy that we had almost completed our journey. My dad had completed his all 12 jyotirling. He was also in a very great mood. Then again we had to go through that tough road. While returning there is right turn toward Rajgurunagar, that road is a bit good. By the time we reached Talegaon it was 9:30pm. We had our dinner there and then finally reached our home ( Lonavala ) around 11:00 pm. Seeing us our dogs went super crazzy. We were very happy that our journey had finally ended successfully. I played with my Dogs for around 30 min and then went to sleep.

This was all about our journey. Hope you guys enjoyed it. If you guys have any query you can contact  me on my Pages bellow.
